Shiv's Story

For Shiv Kulkarni, a sweet, kind, bright, 14-year old, rising high school freshman, it seemed like he had everything going for him. He had won multiple medals in table tennis and his USATT rating was on the rise. He was a valued setter in his middle school as well as club volleyball team. He loved piano and excelled in it. He was modest about it, but his art was often picked in the school district art fair. His academic performance was consistently very strong. He was very well liked by his peers, teachers and most of the people around him. Most of all he was dearly loved by his immediate & extended family. But all of this was not enough. Shiv suffered from Major Depressive Disorder…

our mission

Building resilience, better mental health in adolescents and their surrounding communities through education, awareness, and sponsoring research for the diagnosis, treatment modalities of adolescent mental health.

Our Vision

A world where children understand the importance of mental well being as much as physical well being, where they feel confident in accepting whoever they are and they thrive in a stigma-free society about mental illness and/or their sexual/gender identity. We hope for objective treatment options for adolescent mental health through research and clinical trials.
